Jean Liu is a director, producer and some times writer from the UK and China, currently based in Los Angeles. 

 

With a background in documentary, Jean likes telling grounded stories full of observational details.  

 

Her latest short film Learning English is premiering at SXSW 2024. 

 

Jean is a graduate of USC’s Stark Producing Program, where she awarded a BAFTA/Pigott Scholarship.
